What it's for
Sandwiches on the thin slice, toast on the thick. Torn next to soup. Fried in butter the third day.
How to store it
Cut-side down on the board for a day or two, or in a paper bag. Never the fridge — it stales bread faster.
Bring it back to life
Run the crust under the tap for a second, then into a 350° oven for 6–8 minutes. It comes back like it was baked this morning.
